EXPLORING NORWICH
A few weeks ago I joined a group of other local photographers on Illuminates photowalk in Norwich. A few of us jumped on the train, and others met us at the station before we went for an explore with Lewis leading the way.
We walked along the river path from the station, visited the cathedral, the cobbled streets around Elm Hill, along Pottergate before heading over to the plantation gardens.
We were treated to some beautiful sunshine and blue sky, which is always a winner for me!
I have recently upgraded to a Canon R6, and finally got myself a 'dispo lens' (thanks insta - fully influenced!!) so I took those out to play about. The dispo lens is basically a lens from an old disposable camera set in a 3D printed case made to fit the Canon body.
I have fond memories of shooting with disposable cameras back in the day, and thought this set up might bring some kind of nostalgic vibes.. without the cost of developing the film.
It was fun to play about with. It's fixed focus, F10, so I had to engage my brain a little as I usually shoot around F2-5, but once I'd set it up, it felt pretty much like a point and shoot camera.
I'm not sure how often I'll use it, but I quite like it as a bit of a playful don't-want-to-think-too-much addition to my camera bag... It's also REALLY light which is a bonus too!!
I've added some of the photos I took on the day below.
