These sessions can take place at your home, or if the weather is suitable we can go to an outdoor location of your choice, wherever you feel most comfortable.
I understand how wild it can feel when a new little one arrives, your whole house doesn’t need to be clean and tidy, we just need one good room with some nice natural light.
Sessions are up to two hours, which allows for plenty of photos of you and your little one, and any older siblings they have. It also means there is plenty of time for feeding, changing, or cuddles if needed!
I don’t use any big equipment, or props, it’ll just be me & my camera.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A NEWBORN SESSION?
Each session will be a little different, because every family is different. However the basics will be the same.. You'll decide on the best location, either your home, or a room in a family or friends home, or if it's warm enough, an outdoor location.
We'll get some photos of you all together, some of your little one on their own, and with any older siblings if they have them. Grandparents are welcome to join you too if you wish!
Sessions will be relaxed and we'll go with the flow. There's never any pressure on older little ones to sit still or smile for the camera.
I might get you cuddled up on the sofa or on the bed, like it's a Sunday morning and you're all just chilling together. If it's a bit chaotic, that's totally ok too.
If your baby needs feeding or changing that's totally fine too, it's up to you if you'd like these little moments captured, if you'd prefer not to, I'll pop my camera down and give you some space.
I aim to capture natural moments. I don't bring any props or outfits with me, and I don't pose you, but I'll offer you some simple directions, and encourage you all to just be in the moment.

How do I book a newborn session with you?
Booking a newborn session is easy. Simply reach out to me through the form below, or you can email, or phone me.
I'll guide you through the process, discuss your requirements, and find a convenient date and time for your session.
I usually suggest booking in a date a couple of weeks or so after your due date, or you can contact me once little one has arrived to arrange your session.
WHATS THE BEST LOCATION FOR OUR NEWBORN SESSION?
This is totally up to you. Your home, or a family member or friends home. Somewhere you feel relaxed and comfortable.
We'll just need some nice natural light, and one or two rooms / areas, Bedroom, living room, conservatory.
They don't need to be spotless, so please don't stress over that, we can move things about if needed.
If you'd prefer an outdoor session, this is absolutely okay with me, providing its warm enough for your little one, Just let me know where you fancy going!
How long does a typical newborn session last?
Newborn sessions are up to two hours, which allows for plenty of photos of you and your little one, and any older siblings they have. It also means there is plenty of time for feeding, changing, or cuddles if needed!
The sessions are relaxed and slow paced, we'll go with the flow and keep things as calm as possible.
If your little one is settled and snoozy we'll be finished sooner.
What happens if the our baby is unsettled during the session?
If they are really unsettled, and having a bad day, I'll always do my best to still get plenty of photos of you cuddling, feeding (if you want) or soothing them. After all, it's all part of those early days!
However, if needed, I'm always happy to arrange to come back another day & try again, usually within a few days. (I've only had to do this once or twice.)
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?
Nope!
If you are looking for a studio session, or something more posed, I am always happy to recommend other local photographers for you!
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 2-3 weeks,however at busy times this may be a little longer.
If you need your images ready by a certain date, please just let me know so I can arrange my workflow accordingly.
